Dirt Gypsy Adventures is your premier choice for all things gravel, all-road, mixed terrain or whatever descriptor you prefer to use when it comes to blending drop bars and knobby tires. We offer a range of day trips in the greater Truckee-Tahoe region designed to serve a wide array of riders. Whether you're in search of easygoing mostly-paved routes, a more adventurous outing on fireroads to challenge the legs and lungs, or an all-day circuit made up of dirt, tarmac and even some singletrack, look no further.

Our gravel guides are gurus on the bike , but more importantly they're solid and caring human beings who will ensure you have an unforgettable experience. We invite you, your family, and friends near and far to join us for an incredible day of exploratory riding that exposes you to some true high sierra wonders. HALF DAY GRAVEL BIKE TouRS

Gravel Paradise

Our guided gravel tours are fast becoming the cornerstone of our half day rides and gaining a lot of praise from cyclists around the globe. Designed for those newer to the sport as well as vetted riders looking to become more confident with mixed terrain adventures, our gravel rides are pure magic. Typically between 2-3 hours in duration and 15 to 30 miles in length, you can take your time to settle in while we explore some beautiful zones.

We have plenty of routes to choose from on this itinerary, which will be decided after discussing your hopes, dreams, desires & preferences prior to to the ride. A private tour results in a customized outing that checks all of YOUR boxes. We often times end up exploring Carpenter Valley, Henness Pass, Watson Lake and/or Martis Valley. A limited supply of electric gravel bikes are available for this tour, if preferred.

What's Included: Half-day ride, professionally-guided mixed-terrain adventure, trailhead transportation from Truckee, ride nutrition, fruit and post-ride refreshments. One guide is provided for groups of 6 or fewer and two guides are offered for groups of 7 or more.

What's Excluded: Bike and helmet rental, guide gratuity. Electric gravel bikes are available in a limited supply as well for this tour.

FULL DAY GRAVEL BIKE TouRS

All-Road Epic

Our full day gravel offerings are built for serious riders looking to cover more ground, challenge themselves a touch more and poke their heads a little deeper into Tahoe’s unpaved backroads. On these longer outings (4-6 hours & 40 - 60 miles in length), you’ll find solitude in the Sierra while building camaraderie with your fellow riders.

With more time to cover some proper miles, we open the door to an even wider array of routes to choose from. Prior to to the ride, we'll consult your group to determine what will constitute the optimal outing based on your skills and preferences. There’s a support vehicle always a short radio call away so push your limits and know you’ve got resources to get you home safely. Routes may include Independence Lake, Sardine Valley, Webber Lake, Carpenter Valley & Frog Lake. Electric gravel bikes are available in a limited supply as well for this tour.

Full-day gravel tours feature two guides - one on the bike and another as a driver offering van support. All gravel tours are currently offered in the greater Truckee-Tahoe region. If you're seeking an adventure outside of this area, please consider contacting us for a private tour.

CANCELLATIoN POLICY

Your credit card will be charged at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation. We extend a 48-hour (2 day) cancellation policy on our half-day guided tours and a 96-hour (4 day) cancellation policy on our private / full day tours. If you need to cancel within 48 / 96 hours of the listed start time, no refunds will be issued. Cancellations made more than 48 / 96 hours before departure will be eligible for a full refund or credit for future use.
